Ange Arthur Koua was born in Abidjan in 1989. The artist wanted to explore other ways of formulating things than by the simple technique of painting considered too conventional. He declares that he wants to "express himself freely and defend causes that are not the priority of others". He adds that he wants "to be free to touch, to use everything as I see fit, as long as my inner self is satisfied". His technique is a mixture of painting and textiles.
