Ablade Glover is a Ghanaian artist and educator. He has exhibited widely, building an international reputation over several decades, as well as being regarded as a seminal figure on the West African art scene.
Born in 1934 in Accra, Ghana, Professor Ablade Glover graduated from the University of Science and Technology of Kumasi, Ghana. He appears in the "Who's Who in the World", the "International Dictionary of Contemporary Artists" and the "Who's Who in Art and Antiques." He is one of Ghana's best—known artists, having accumulated an impressive number of awards for his dedication and enthusiasm for education, both nationally and internationally. Until 1994, he was Associate Professor, Head of Department and Dean of the School of Fine Arts at the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana.
